On the way back to Delhi from Jaipur in a Flix bus, I woke up to the bus being parked at this Hotel & Restaurant. I didn’t stay there, so I can’t review the rooms, but I had a Tandoori Parantha and Adrak Elaichi Chai.
This is roughly another 2 hour 45 min drive to Delhi, so it’s a mid-point stopover. For us, it seemed like the driver/conductor stopped partly because they get free food here—but that’s standard practice, so not a big factor.
The good points:
1. The surroundings are beautiful. Lush yellow-green mustard fields, the kind made famous by DDLJ, give a peaceful, romantic vibe.
2. They have a small bunny cage, which is cute but not great from an animal perspective—too many rabbits cramped in a small space.
3. The tandoori parantha was quick and decently sized for the price. It was a bit stretchy (probably extra refined flour), but that’s common. Only issue: I asked for it to be served when ready, but it came while I was outside, so it wasn’t hot.
4. The tea was served fast, though it wasn’t anything special. When I asked to reheat it, they brought a fresh cup instead—good service.
The not-so-good:
- An uncle had been waiting 25 minutes for his order and left without getting it. Inconsistency seems to be an issue here.
- The tea was average—lacked strong ginger-cardamom flavor.
Overall, it’s a hit or miss. The open space, mustard fields, and rustic highway dhaba feel work in its favor—something rare now with all the big chains. The washrooms are basic but clean.
